Monica is a pediatric nurse practitioner from Yale University and a passionate advocate for developing and implementing systems to improve mental health care access and delivery in pediatrics. She is fellowship trained in child and adolescent mental health from Ohio State University, as well as Trauma Stress Studies with the Trauma Research Foundation.
She currently works as a pediatric nurse practitioner at Sea View Pediatrics and Children’s Hospital of Orange County, proudly serves as clinical faculty at UCLA School of Nursing, and has recently launched Intersection Rising–a company that intersects her lived experiences, rigorous academic training, and clinical experience in general pediatrics, pediatric neurology, and mental health.
