On this episode, Lyndsay Soprano speaks with her guest, Lauren Abrams of the 52 Weeks of Hope podcast, about her struggles with addiction, homelessness, and overcoming like a champ! Her podcast focuses on HOPE.

Lauren begins talking about being an open book and carrying no secrets. She shares her story of living on the streets, being strung out and a drug addict. She always felt different, like she didn’t fit in. She didn’t have words for that at the time. So she ended up gravitating to alcohol and the drugs. She lived in an abandoned house and 83 pounds. Strung out, having seizures. In really bad shape and didn’t know there was a way out. Listen to her story of hope!

During the pandemic, as did so many of us, we started our own businesses and podcasts! Both Lyndsay and Lauren did the same thing and the talk about how much they love podding.

We all connect through our stories. So after asking people what gave them hope she compiled a list of all the messages of hope, because she asks everybody in each episode, what’s the hardest thing you’ve ever been through? How did you get through, and what’s your message of hope? So she compiled all the messages of hope from the first 52 weeks into eight overarching themes, and she called the meeting of life, and she claims to now know why we’re here.
